The Women's League will hold a shiur this Shabbos Parshas Ki Seitzei (Aug 29) at 5:00 P.M. at the home of Malka and David Kaplow, 147-07 75th Avenue, entrance on the lower right level. David Kaplow will speak on "Hospitality, do it or you lose!" on the occasion of the Yahrzeit of Malka's mother, Sara bas Henach z"l.

The next Shabbos Kiddush will take place on Parshiyos Nitzavim-VaYeilech (September 12). Sponsorship is $100.

Tuesday, September 1, at 7:00 PM at the Young Israel of Kew Gardens Hills (which is located at 150-05 70th Road in Kew Gardens Hills). In an effort to educate people about protecting children from improper behavior and sexual predatory acts, there will be a program open to the entire community sponsored by the National Council of Young Israel, the Queens Jewish Community Council, the Queens County District Attorney's Office, the Vaad Harabonim of Queens, Jewish Connections - Pride Of Judea - Ezrat Chayim, Jewish Board of Family & Children's Services, and the Young Israel of Kew Gardens Hills. The program is critical for parents, teachers, and rabbanim and will address prevention, awareness and action strategies. Opening remarks will be delivered by Rabbi Herschel Welcher, the Mara D'Asra of Congregation Ahavas Yisroel. The guest speaker will be David Pelcovitz, Ph.D., the Strauss Professor of Education and Psychology at the Azrieli School of Jewish Education at Yeshiva University.
