The JBFCS, in partnership with Chai Lifeline, and in collaboration with the Young Israel, the Queens Vaad, and the QJCC, present “Consolation and Compassion – Shiv’ah Visits and Beyond.” The featured speaker will be Dr. Norman Blumenthal, Director of Chai Lifeline’s Project CHAI, who will discuss fulfilling Nachamu nachamu ami and assisting others in healing during times of sorrow. The QJCC and Atria welcome Rabbi Shalom Hammer of the Israel Defense Forces, who will discuss “Israel’s Future – The Challenge of Survival, A Vision of Hope.” Sharing his personal experience as a rabbi in the IDF, Rabbi Hammer is a dynamic speaker, offering profound insights on issues confronting Israel and the Jewish world.
