Yamim Nora’im Seats

With the approach of the Yamim Nora’im, the time to reserve Shul seats has arrived. We are offering a 10% discount for early reservations. To be eligible for the 10% discount, seat reservations must be received by Friday, September 2, with a check. After that date, the committee will have the right to sell seats on a first-come-first-served basis to other members. After Monday, September 12, we will open the sale of seats to non-members. Members will be responsible for the payment of their guests’ seats. Women wishing to order seats after September 14 should call Ellen Cohen at 718-969-229.

Shul News / Community Events

The deadline for participating in the group ad for Simcha Shapiro is Sunday, August 28. Simcha will be receiving the Avodas HaKodesh Award at the Young Israel of Huntington’s Fifteenth Annual Journal Dinner. Anyone interested in participating in a group ad should e-mail David Kirschner at The suggested contribution is $25. Kew Gardens Hills Youth Center – Run for Hope

Sunday, August 28: The Kew Gardens Hills Youth Center, an after-school program for Orthodox male teens and young adults under the direction of Rabbi Ilan Ginian, will hold its first annual Run-for-Hope Bronx Half-Marathon. Funds from this event will go directly to supporting this “safe space” program offering support to our community’s youth.
