Our Place is having its 2nd annual 5K run/walk on Sunday, March 25th in Floyd Bennett Field. If you are not familiar with Our Place, it is an organization that works with boys and girls in the Jewish community who struggle with substance abuse, depression, and physical abuse. Our Place is there for them to help them back to a healthy and productive lifestyle. You can view a short video about the organization at this link: http://ourplaceny.org/video.html.
Our Shul is considering making its own team for this event. It is very important to show these boys and girls that people care and that they are not alone. If you are at all interested in participating as part of Team Ahavas Yisroel, please let Jay Jaffe know. You can check out the event at 5k.OurPlaceNY.org.
Jay can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org for Shul business.
