2009 Ahavas Yisroel Little League Registration

Pre-registration for the 2009 Jewish Community Little League season will be held Sunday, January 4, 2008, from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the home of David Kirschner, 141-28 72nd Drive. Sample jerseys and pants will be available for fitting. If you are unable to attend, please contact David no later than Motza’ei Shabbos, January 3, 2008 to make alternative arrangements and ensure you son’s placement.

The Registration and Waiver forms can be downloaded here

Please note the following:

The fee for shul members is $80.00; the fee for non-members is $95.00. It includes all JCLL membership and participation costs.

All members registered by January 4th will have first priority for team placement. After January 4th, open community registration will begin and be available to non-members. Any member registering after January 4th, will be accommodated on a first-come, first-serve basis only along with non-members. Placement WILL NOT be guaranteed.

All players, members and non-members who played on an AY team last season will have first priority to return. Members will have first priority for all available roster spaces.

All requests for specific team placement and/or placement with friends will be considered. Registration/placement, however, is subject to team availability and cannot be guaranteed.

By registering, EVERY player is making a commitment to attend ALL games. Parents are encouraged to attend and urged, if possible, to assist in managing/coaching duties. When registering, please indicate whether you are available to manage, coach or supervise practices (to be determined by coaches but usually held on Friday afternoons). In the event a team does not have a manager/coach, that team will not be fielded.

The uniforms will be the same as in previous years. Pants will be a required part of the official AY uniform for several reasons. First, JCLL rules strictly prohibited shorts. Second, denim or cotton trousers are not conducive to running. And finally, the nylon stretch material is far more comfortable while wearing the required athletic supporter and cup. It is recommended, although not required, that players wear shoes with rubber cleats.

Uniform costs:
Jersey - $21.50* (includes last name and number; if you have a jersey from last year, please tell us your number. If you are entering a new division and have a jersey with a number that is already taken, you will be asked to purchase a new jersey)
Pants - $17.50*
Hat - $5.00*
* based on last year’s manufacturing cost

If you have any questions, concerns or wish to make alternative registration arrangements, please contact David Kirschner at djkirschner@verizon.net, 718-618-3647 (office) or 718-619-3637 (cell).
