2013 AY Baseball Registration

Registration for the 2013 Jewish Community Little League season (boys grades 3 – 8) will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2013, between 3:00 and 7:00 PM, at the home of Simcha and Adina Shapiro (75-04 Vleigh Place).

Please note that registration for shul members and returning players will only be guaranteed if registered by January 27. Anyone registering after January 27 will be accommodated on a first-come, first-serve basis only.

Singles’ Open House Dessert Event this Shabbos afternoon at the home of our member Susie Garber (147-37 70th Ave.). This event will be at 2:00 -3:30 pm for singles in their 20s and 30s, and at 4:00-5:30 pm for singles who are 40 and above.
MOTZA’EI SHABBOS LEARNING PROGRAM

The 10th annual Worldwide Video Event for the Yahrzeit of Rachel Imeinu will be held this Motza’ei Shabbos, October 27, at 8:30 PM at the Shul. The video this year features Rebbetzin Tehila Jaeger and Rebbetzin Tziporah Heller speaking on “The Best is Yet to Come: How to Live with Simchas HaChayim.” The event is open to all women and students. The QJCC and Lander College present a debate on “What’s Good for the Jews?” this Tuesday, October 30, at 7:00 PM at the Lander College campus (75-31 150th Street). The debate will feature Dr. David Luchins, Chair of the Department of Political Science at Lander College for Women and former senior advisor to the late Democratic New York Senator Daniel P. Moynihan, and Michael Fragin, financier, JM in the AM political commentator, expert on the Jewish Community and the Jewish Vote, and both Governor Pataki’s and Mayor Bloomberg’s point man on Jewish issues.
