8:45 pm: There will be a video presentation for women only at the Shul, “A Blessing in Disguise” - a moving drama by Tobi Einhorn and Chavi Klein. Admission is $12 and $10 for students. Proceeds benefit Mekimi, an organization that provides cheer and entertainment to pediatric patients.

New Beis Medrash Program
Beginning This Sunday, October 28:
8:00-11:00 pm, Sunday through Thursday:
The goal of the program is to increase our learning. Even if you have regular sedarim, we encourage you to join us at least once a week, alone or with a chavrusa, before or after Maariv, to strengthen our collective learning efforts. We are working on providing more shiurim and matching up chavrusas. If you have a topic of interest or need a chavrusa, please contact Mark mf@mrfweb.com or Leon at lstern@jndltd.com.

7:00 pm–10:00 pm: The Women’s League’s Clothing Drive. Clothing will be shipped to Kiryat Sefer and distributed by Bracha (Pearl) Silberstein. Because shipping costs $18 per box, collection will be limited to the following items:
· Clothing for infants and toddlers
· Shabbos and weekday clothing for children, ages 5-12, in very good condition
· Boys: Long pants/shorts – dark colors, polo shirts with buttons, and regular shirts in white, plaids, or stripes
· Girls: Dresses, skirts, and jumpers, blouses with appropriate sleeves
· Shabbos clothing for teens
Donations toward shipping costs can be made to Cong. Ahavas Yisroel Women’s League. For more information, or to volunteer to sort, pack, or drive, please contact Sunni Pearl (718-544-9206).

8:00 pm: Worldwide Video Event at the Shul for women only commemorating the Yahrzeit of Rochel Imeinu given by Rebbetzins Tzipora Heller and Tehila Jaeger. The topic will be “No Prayer is Unanswered: The Treasure Chest of Persistent Prayer.” There is no charge, but sponsorships are available with proceeds going to Aniyei Eretz Yisroel (checks payable to Torah Umesorah Aniyim Fund).

8:00 pm: The Women's League will continue hosting Rabbi Zvi Lew's very popular lecture series "Perspectives on Prayer" which began this past summer. These shiurim, for women only, will focus on Tefilah and will be held monthly. The first lecture is scheduled for this Wednesday in the upstairs lobby of the shul. Women's League Clothing Drive

On Tuesday, November 6, from 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm, the Women’s League’s will again be collecting clothing to be shipped to Kiryat Sefer. Distribution will be conducted by Bracha (Pearl) Silberstein. Because shipping will be in egg boxes which cost $18 per box, shipping will be limited to the following items:

NEW BEIS MEDRASH PROGRAM

The Shul will be starting a new Beis Medrash Program Sunday through Thursday evenings from 8:00 - 11:00 pm. The Shul will be set up with tables and chairs for learning which will feature periodic shiurim as well as chavrusos which will be arranged upon request. The Rav strongly encourages everyone to participate as often as possible.
