ANNUAL DINNER
Our 18th Annual Dinner, honoring Eddie and Sarah Sherman, is scheduled for Sunday evening, June 26, at the Young Israel of Kew Gardens Hills (6:30 start time, Maariv at 9:30). We are quickly approaching the final call for reservations and ads for this year's dinner honoring Eddie and Sara Sherman. June 19 at midnight is the deadline for ads. Please drop everything and send in your reservations and ads.

YOUTH MINYAN
There will be a Youth Minyan this Shabbos at 9:15. Youth minyan attendees, please remember to say Krias Shema by 9:10. There will be a hot Kiddush following the minyan.

LITTLE LEAGUE NEWS
As the little league playoffs start this week we would like to congratulate the coaches Jeff Zwiren, Aaron Meltzer, Jay Daitchman and Dov Nierman on a very successful season. All the parents and players join in thanking the coaches for generously donating their time and expertise.
Thanks, also to Gittel Nierman for assuming the responsibility of handling the pre-season registration and administrative work related to the little leagues.

All little leaguers and their parents owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to Razi Landau who single handedly managed the Shul little league needs for many years. Razi also provided her guidance during this year's transition.

On June 21, Rabbi Frand will speak at the YIQV on behalf of Chesed L'avraham. The Skullener rebbi is also expected to address the audience.

Link to Parent's Prayer Written by the Shelah Hakodesh - For Day Before Rosh Chodesh Sivan

All parents want the best for their children — that they should be good and upright, that they have everything they need for a fruitful, joyous life.

The classic work, Shelah HaKadosh, contains a prayer that parents should recite for their children at any time of the year — but especially on the day before Rosh Chodesh Sivan, for that is the month when God gave us the Torah, and when the Jewish people began to be called His Children. On that day, he writes, fathers and mothers should give charity to the poor and repent. They should even fast, if they are able to.
