Women's Shiur this Thursday, August 2, 2007

There will be a Shiur for women this Thursday, August 2, at 8:00 p.m. in the Shul, given by Rebbetzin Yehudis Samet. The topic will be, “Verbal Whammies (Ona'as Devarim) and How to Avoid Them.”

The Shiur is being sponsored in the Z'chus of a Refuah Sh’leimah for Eta Sara bas Devorah (Mrs. Etty Blum), Aliza Rochel Bas Liba Yenta and Refoel Zev Ben Miriam.

The Women’s League will be continuing its series of Pirkei Avos Shiurim.

The Women’s League’s weekly Tehillim Group will resume its regular time
this Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at 8:00 p.m. The Women’s League is always searching for volunteers to participate.

On Wednesday, August 1, at 8:00 p.m., the Women’s League summer lecture series, sponsored by Ateret Seminary for Women, will continue at the Shul. The series, given by Rabbi Zvi Lew, is entitled "Perspectives on Prayer: Insights into its meaning and laws" and will focus on a different aspect each week.

Tomorrow - Monday, July 16th, the American Zionist Movement will be holding a rally in support of Ehud Goldwasser, Gilad Shalit and Eldad Regev. The rally will take place at 12 noon, rain or shine, at Dag Hammarskjold Plaza which is located at 1st Avenue and 47th Street.
