AY 2008 JCLL Prep Champions

Mazal Tov to the players of Ahavas Yisroel’s 2008 Jewish Community Little League Prep Division Champions, who received their championship trophies last Sunday!

The team, from Congregation Ahavas Yisroel of Kew Gardens Hills, won an amazing and thrilling game over an outstanding, and mentshlich, team from the Young Israel of Plainview.

12:00-4:00 pm: Pre-registration for the 2009 Jewish Community Little League season will take place at the home of David Kirschner, 141-28 72nd Drive. Sample jerseys and pants will be available for fitting. Monday, January 5:
7:00 pm: There will be a Parlor Meeting for Tomchei Shabbos of Queens. The meeting will take place at the home of Elie & Golda Fried located at 72-23 139 St.
7:30 pm: The Kew Gardens Hills Community invites all to participate on Asarah B'Teves Yom HaKaddish HaKlali for tefilos and Kaddish in memory of the victims of the Shoah whose dates of Kiddush HaShem are unknown. The speakers will be Rabbi Fabian Schonfeld, Rabbi Isaac Oelbaum, and Rabbi Dr. Tzvi Hersh Weinreb. The location will be at the Young Israel of Kew Gardens Hills.
