Teaching Positions Available Immediately at Queens Gymnasia—Kiruv Yeshiva
From Cindy Levin:
Location: 60-05 Woodhaven Blvd. (near the Queens Mall)
Telephone: 718-426-9369 or 646-670-8952; I can be reached at home in the evening at 718-793-5963.
Email mrslevin@queensgymnasia.org or torah613nyny@verizon.net
9th and 10th grade girls’ classes need maternity replacement teachers immediately until the end of the year. The hours are Monday –Thursday, 8:30 a.m.-12:00 noon, and on Friday until 10:15 a.m.
The 9th grade position encompasses the subjects of Chumash, Parashat Hashavuah, and Ivrit, taught to two sections, alternating with the co-teacher of the 9th grade, who teaches the other subjects.
The 10th grade position encompasses Chumash, Halacha, Hashkafah, Parashat Hashavuah, and Navi. From 9:30-10:3 on Monday-Thursday, the students have math and so during that time the teacher would be given other students in small groups or individually who need additional support.
If you know someone who is interested, please direct her my way immediately. Please pass on this notice to anyone who might know someone. I would consider a returning seminary student who is in school and available in the mornings. Someone who has experience would obviously be desirable.
Thanks for any assistance that you can give.
