A community conference on “Positive Jewish Parenting” geared for parents of both elementary and high school children, sponsored by the Orthodox Union, will take place on Sunday morning, November 20, 2005 at Lander College 75-31 150th Street in Kew Gardens Hills.
There will be 16 interactive workshops presented by well-known mental health professionals in the fields of psychology, psychiatry, and social work throughout the morning, with a keynote address by Rabbi Dr. Tzvi Hersh Weinreb, Executive Vice President of the Orthodox Union. There will also be a question and answer session with Rabbi Weinreb and some workshop presenters immediately after the keynote.
Doors open at 8:45 am and workshops begin immediately at 9:30 am. The entire program concludes by 1:00 pm. As an extremely large turnout is expected, we urge everyone to arrive early before the workshop of choice may be full. For further details, please check the shul literature rack for a flyer or check the Orthodox Union website, www.ou.org.
