Sharing Shabbos Meals Initiative

An initiative is being brought forward by the congregation to create a greater sense of community within our Shul. By creating a stronger community, our congregation can become a warmer place for our current members and an attractive option for potential new members.

A practical first step for this initiative is inviting guests for Shabbos. Not just our usual friends, but newer families, or families we have never taken the opportunity to get to know. A program has been developed which will allow us to share Shabbos meals with other families without feeling overwhelmed.

Over the Shabbosim between Pesach and Shavuos (May 6 – June 11), participants will share meals with three different families from our Shul. Committee coordinators will facilitate the invite process. By the time Shavous rolls around, we will be one stage closer to creating stronger community connections within our Shul.

Please participate in this worthwhile endeavor by filling out this form and dropping it off, or mailing it to Mark Frankel, 141-17 72nd Crescent, Kew Gardens Hills, NY 11367 or
email the info to Caykgh@gmail.com

Thanks in advance for your involvement in making our Shul a better place.
